Welcomed Solitude

I went out solo a couple times over the weekend. I found plenty of reds in the marsh but the feeding window was short very early in the morning. The fish were also extra weary of my presence because of the low water levels. Lost count of the number of fish I spooked. On numerous occassions I would spot a crawler 75+ yards away but as I approached they rarely allowed me the opportunity to get close enough to make a cast. Caught a few reds, broke some off, and pulled the hooks on others. Overall it’s was a relaxing, tranquil weekend away from the chaotic constraints of everyday life.

Conditions:
Tide: incoming both days
Water Clarity: muddy
Wind: S/SW <10mph
Lures: shrimp fly (brown), spoon fly (peach rain), TTF flats minnow ( mumpy glo and Morning Glory)
