Photo of the Week…They’re Right There

I fished a marsh on the Upper Coast with Rick Spillman, of Rick’s Kayak Adventures, a few weeks ago. It was Rick’s first time fishing this particular marsh. We found a lot of finicky fish and managed to catch a few. The area in the photo below is where Rick found a bunch of fish cruising through the grass. He spent 30 minutes casting at these fish before he finally gave up. They kept throwing up large wakes every time his lure hit the water or swam right past his lure. There were completely disinterested, but that’s fishing. Fishing is like dating. Sometimes you’re on your game and everything goes right. Other times no matter what you do you still get the cold shoulder.
