Photo of the Week…Last Paddle

My friend, Sam (pictured below), is getting married in a few weeks and I’m one of the groomsman. We’ve known each other for a long time. Since kindergarten although neither of us knew it until we started looking through old photos in high school.

We developed our passion for fishing about the same time. I started fishing at an earlier age, but we didn’t become obsessed with the sport until after high school when we bought our first kayaks. Sam hadn’t fished in over a year due to work, school, and his pending nuptials. When we talked about what he wanted to do for his bachelor party the choice was clear, fish.

He invited a handful of his other close friends and we rented a beach house over the past weekend. This photo was taken on our paddle yesterday morning. Sam’s last paddle before the big day.
