Louisiana Marsh Teaser from Casting Tales on Vimeo.

Quick teaser I shot while fishing Louisiana last week.

I made the announcement on my last post that I would be guiding in Louisiana for the next two months. I thought I’d add a few details about my services over there. The marshes we fish are the closest areas to Texas where you can consistently sight fish for big bull reds in shallow water on fly or light tackle. The drive is shorter than the drive to Port Fourchon, Grand Isle, Empire, Venice, Delacroix and Hopedale.

At a little over an hour drive, it’s also one of the shortest drives from the airport in New Orleans (only a few minutes further than the drive to Hopedale) should you choose to fly. Arrangements can be made if you’d like to be picked up from the New Orleans airport if you let me know ahead of time. Another option will be to rent a car and make the drive yourself.

We make short runs to the fishing grounds which equates to more time fishing as opposed to the long runs that characterized much of the prime areas around the Mississippi Delta and Biloxi marsh (Empire, Venice, Delacroix, Hopedale). We usually fish from 8:00am to sundown or when you say uncle. If you have any questions feel free to give me a shout.
